After School Enrichment

chess class with instructor

Northwood's After School Enrichment (ASE) provides exciting curriculum that kids may not receive in their daily classroom. Creativity and self expression are encouraged as students discover and develop new interests and talents. We bring in teachers and professionals to offer classes such as robotics, soccer, chess, yoga, LEGO STEM classes, art, and more!

NVUSD and Northwood Elementary provide space for after school enrichment programs, but does not endorse staff or supervise the information, activities, or events provided.

Please note, After School Enrichment classes are usually 1 hour in length, run for approximately 6 to 8 weeks, and are offered periodically throughout the school year. They are not offered every day and not all classes are available to all grade levels. If you are looking for after school CHILD CARE, please visit the On Site Child Care page for information on AdventureTime.

Tips & FAQ's regarding registration
  • Registration is online only and is a first come, first served basis. If you need assistance or do not have internet access, please contact Felicia in the front office, or our Parent Liaison Silvia. See below for office hours.
  • Once the class is full you will see "sold out" and you will not be allowed to register. You can add your student's name to the waiting list by emailing Felicia at felicia_gagliasso@nvusd.org
  • Registration is not guaranteed until payment is received.
  • We have a limited number of scholarships available for students who are on free or reduced lunch. Please contact Felicia in the front office or our Parent Liaison Silvia for more information.
  • Class sizes are limited by the teachers. If a minimum number of students is not met, the teacher may choose to cancel the class.
  • There are no refunds or make-ups unless class is cancelled by the teacher.

Due to campus closure and COVID we are not currently holding ASE classes.

Scholarship requests for students on free or reduced lunch can be submitted to Felicia or Silvia in the front office or student services office before the first day of class.

Please consider donating to our ASE Scholarship Fund! Scholarships are available to students who are on free or reduced lunch. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated, and goes directly to help cover the cost for a student who might not otherwise be able to participate in our after school classes.
